A New Church Wide Lesson Series Continues This Weekend...
Senior Pastor Jamie Allen continues in the r12 series with a lesson called "Learning to Get God's Best for Your Life".  This lesson is based on the Old Testament character of Daniel, a man who stood against the grain of his culture even when it meant standing alone.  Bring a friend to experience this powerful message.

If you've missed any of Central's previous lessons, you can download them for free on iTunes, just click here. Bring a friend and experience this awesome lesson series, weekend worship times are Contemporary Services: Fridays at 6:00pm, Sundays at 9:15am, and 11:00am. Traditional Service: Sundays at 8:00am.

Hope Group is a support group for those who have lost a loved one.  No one can truly feel another person's pain, and no one can make it go away.  But understanding the stages of grief, and going through it with people who are in a similar situation, is often a key step to healing.  Sign up at the Small Groups table or call the church office at 242.4185.

Get together with your Family, Friends or Small Group and pick out a favorite scene from a Christmas movie classic. Grab a camcorder and spoof your favorite scene in a creative way. Scenes should be less than 5 minutes and should contain clean content. Submit your DVD into the Church Office or at the Central Resource Counter by October 31st to see your movie spoof debut on the big screen prior to weekend services. All videos will be entered for the chance to win the honor of being featured during Christmas weekend services at Central and a movie prize pack for your whole crew.

Clean content and acceptable material will be determined solely at the discretion of Central Media and Central Christian Church.

During the ten weeks of Crown Financial small group, you'll learn financial principles that will help you get out of debt, save, budget, invest, and give. Sign up today at the Small Group table in the atrium or contact Small Group Pastor Marty Mills at marty@thenewcentral.com Cost for books is $55 and can be purchased at the Resource Center.

The kind of spirituality that Jesus taught was extremely practical. Habitat for Humanity is ready to grant ownership of a house to an approved family, but a few carpentry/plumbing tasks stand in the way. Please pick up an informational sheet about this volunteer opportunity at the Welcome Desk.

Use of the Building
The CCC building gets used a lot. It is important to try to schedule an event at least six months in advance to guarantee the room or rooms you need are available. Call the church office to check the availability of the space you need.

Hospital Visits
Central's pastors make hospital visits Monday – Friday, but they have no way of knowing who's in the hospital unless you tell us. If you, a family member, friend, or church attender are hospitalized, please call 618.242.4185 and report to one of the church secretaries, so the pastors will know and visit.

Today's Lesson Now Available
Ever wish that you could listen to one of Jamie's lessons a second time? Or maybe just part of the lesson that you missed, or really enjoyed. Now you can! Each weekend CD copies of that weekend's lesson will be available at the resource table on Sunday morning. All single lesson CD's will be available for $3.00.

Small Group Life
While our weekend services offer great transformational teaching, we believe real life change happens best in community. To explore our small group opportunities, visit www.thenewcentral.com/smallgroups.

Congregational Prayer
The Central Prayer Team meets every Sunday night at 5:00 pm in the Prayer Room (located on level 2 of the new building). Everyone is welcome to attend!

Prayer Concerns List
In order to have a prayer concern added to our published list, it needs to be into the church office before 5:00 pm on Thursday. Also, please be sure to check the appropriate box when writing a concern on your attendance card. If you do not check the box marked "For Church Prayer List", we cannot include the name on the published list.

Staff Prayer Time
During the year, Central's pastors pray for every family in the church. Please don't hesitate to use the prayer request cards to submit your prayer needs each Sunday. We really would love to know what's going on in your life and how we can pray for you.

C60
C60 is a professionally produced video that will be shown during services on Friday and Sunday. This fast-paced sixty second video will keep you up to date on what's going on at Central.

Parents
Central loves children! However, the main worship service is not designed for younger children, especially those in the late-infant to early-elementary range. We provide excellent, safe environments for all children (infant to 5th grade), where kids can flourish. This allows parents (and those seated nearby) to worship without distraction. If a young child remains with you, please sit near an exit, and take restless children to the atrium or parents' room (southwest corner of building) where you can watch and listen to the service. Ushers can assist you.
