Giving blood is easy, just stop by the church gym between 2:00 and 7:00pm, and help save a life by donating blood. It doesn't take very long, and hey, you'll get a cookie! Giving blood is just one more way we can Love God and Love People, so let's go above and beyond the goal Red Cross has set this year.
For a printed list of the song titles and artists featured in each weekend's worship services, stop by the Welcome Desk.
During the next few weeks, you will be hearing about an upcoming churchwide lesson series called r12. Central is a big place, and lots of people enjoy the "anonymity" it provides. However, we believe that "community" - developing genuine relationships with other Christians - is where spiritual growth really begins to happen. During this six week study, we want you to be "all in"! Whether that means renewing your commitment to the small group you're already a part of, or joining one of the six-week groups that will be forming in August, we encourage you to take the next step toward spiritual growth and get plugged into a small group. If you're ready to be "all in", stop by the r12 table in the atrium and find out more about this great upcoming event!
Get together with your Family, Friends or Small Group and pick out a
favorite scene from a Christmas movie classic. Grab a camcorder and spoof your favorite scene in a creative way. Scenes should be less than 5 minutes and should contain clean content. Submit your DVD into the Church Office or at the Central Resource Counter by October 31st to see your movie spoof debut on the big screen prior to weekend services. All videos will be entered for the chance to win the honor of being featured during Christmas weekend services at Central and a movie prize pack for your whole crew.
Clean content and acceptable material will be determined solely at the discretion of Central Media and Central Christian Church.
Café 301 is a great place to invite friends to relax, have lunch or dinner, and watch the weekend services on TV. The coffee shop hours are as follows: Fridays 6:00-9:30pm, and Sundays 10:30am-1:00pm.

The CCC building gets used a lot. It is important to try to schedule an event at least six months in advance to guarantee the room or rooms you need are available. Call the church office to check the availability of the space you need.
Central's pastors make hospital visits Monday – Friday, but they have no way of knowing who's in the hospital unless you tell us. If you, a family member, friend, or church attender are hospitalized, please call 618.242.4185 and report to one of the church secretaries, so the pastors will know and visit.
Ever wish that you could listen to one of Jamie's lessons a second time? Or maybe just part of the lesson that you missed, or really enjoyed. Now you can! Each weekend CD copies of that weekend's lesson will be available at the resource table on Sunday morning. All single lesson CD's will be available for $3.00.
While our weekend services offer great transformational teaching, we believe real life change happens best in community. To explore our small group opportunities, visit www.thenewcentral.com/smallgroups.
The Central Prayer Team meets every Sunday night at 5:00 pm in the Prayer Room (located on level 2 of the new building). Everyone is welcome to attend!
In order to have a prayer concern added to our published list, it needs to be into the church office before 5:00 pm on Thursday. Also, please be sure to check the appropriate box when writing a concern on your attendance card. If you do not check the box marked "For Church Prayer List", we cannot include the name on the published list.
During the year, Central's pastors pray for every family in the church. Please don't hesitate to use the prayer request cards to submit your prayer needs each Sunday. We really would love to know what's going on in your life and how we can pray for you.
C60 is a professionally produced video that will be shown during services on Friday and Sunday. This fast-paced sixty second video will keep you up to date on what's going on at Central.
Central loves children! However, the main worship service is not designed for younger children, especially those in the late-infant to early-elementary range. We provide excellent, safe environments for all children (infant to 5th grade), where kids can flourish. This allows parents (and those seated nearby) to worship without distraction. If a young child remains with you, please sit near an exit, and take restless children to the atrium or parents' room (southwest corner of building) where you can watch and listen to the service. Ushers can assist you. |
